How the Pros Do It - Tips & Tricks

1. The surface must be perfectly clean and free of stains prior to applying Aurora Sure Step,otherwise the dirt or stain will be set into the gel coat and may become indelible.

2. Use only Aurora Boat Clean Plus and Aurora Boat Scrub to prep the surface. Other cleaners may not be compatible, or contain contaminants that will inhibit the performance of Aurora Sure Step.

3. Save time and effort. Scrub non-skid decks with a 1 to 4 solution of Aurora Boat Clean Plus. Before rinsing, squirt Aurora Boat Scrub onto wet surface and rescrub with the deck brush. Rinse clean and let dry. These are free rinsing green cleaners.

4. Make sure that the surface is perfectly dry. Aurora Sure Step will not adhere properly to wet or damp surfaces.

5. Apply with a white, high density foam, mini paint roller. Push the Sure Step into the pores and spread out thinly.

6. Allow to dry to a haze. Attach a lose cotton buffing wheel to a portable drill and use the edge to buff the surface to a satin shine. (Note: rotary buffers will not work on non-skid decks).
